Help App residue on SD drive of Nexus

svenmonet

Newbie
I recently had to do a factory reset on my Samsung Nexus. After re installing all my apps I looked at the SD drive via a USB cable. I notice older apps that I didn't re install. I believe that maybe I should have reformatted the SD drive after the reset.

Is there any app that can detect those SD folders and that these are apps I'm no longer using? I would like to get rid of them cleanly without just deleting folders via the USB cable.

I am confused considering the GNex doesn't have a slot for the SD card.

These apps might just be defaulting there when you download them.

Typically if you know the name of the app then it should be easy to just delete them, I think there is a device cleaner though. This looks pretty good, cleans up junk files that are unused: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&hl=en

I'm confused, why was this post moved?
I ask because he said he had a Samsung Nexus; he just didn't include the word "Galaxy.

The reason I ask is because I'm posting here and I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and just want to be sure I'm in the right forum and my posts won't have to be moved.

As to the question; I too get confused by the SD Card reference, since the Galaxy doesn't have a card slot.

the post was moved to here (the galaxy nexus forum) from another forum :). this is the correct forum for the samsung galaxy nexus.

the phone does have an SD card, it is just internal and can not be removed, but the phone itself refers to it as the sd card :)
