app sending me ads!

I recently got a galaxy s 3 and the first thing I did was download a bunch of free stuff I wasn't aware that certain apps have privileges to download shortcuts in send ads to my Notification Center. so the logical thing to do was delete all the apps that Were doing it.but I'm still being harassed by add notifications... so since I wasn't able to figure it out for myself I went to Bestbuy thinking that maybe they would I know how to End the constant alerts. the information I was given Had already been put into practice and when I told him that he said Itll go away about a week or 2 that answer pissed me off specially now that it's 3 weeks later and I still see See ads every hour. I lookEd into ad blocking software but everything i found requires root command access and right now I'm pretty okay with not doing that so if anyone knows what I can do block this ridiculousness without voiding the warranty I'd Be eternally grateful:beer::adore:

I'm sorry to hear that.I've had similar problem but was able to find and uninstall that malware.

You could start uninstalling apps by least used frequency or if you feel compromised may just do a factory reset from privacy menu. Most people would avoid that option if they've set up their phone a while back. But for recent starter users may not entail lot of work.

Use my back up app to back up bookmarks SMS etc.

I've identified and deleted the APs that were causing my problem mainly because the ads would say who sponsored It and then be able to delete the app but the only 1 I still get says "ad by: free". would your app be able to backup music as well?

There is a sticky post about this in this forum.

As you surely know, Best Buy were talking ignorant nonsense. When you remove the apps that are using push advertising this will stop there and then.
