App settings not gone after uninstall.

Hi,

I have an app that are giving me error messages. I decided to uninstall it to start over and set it up again. However, when I install it again my old setting are still there. I know since I set custom colors etc. I have tried to delete everything related to the app from my phone but it still remembers the last settings and I can't get rid of my problem. Any idea where the app could store settings outside of the stuff it puts in the Android/Data/com.app.name folders?

I know the app well and have used it for years on many phones. The error has to do with the Google Drive login. The app is Ghost Commander which is the best file manager ever. The problem is that it remembers the old GDrive settings so I can't get it set up again. I need to know how it remembers the old settings after uninstall.

Do you have your phone set to backup apps and settings? It might be restoring settings from the cloud when you reinstall it.

Yes. I have set it to back up my apps. Is that really how it works in Android now. If that's the case I need to find a way to remove the backup of this app. Anyone knows?
