App shortcut question

[steelbender]

Hey all,

when I long press on an empty area on the home screen, I get the option to add either and app or a shortcut. Wondering what the difference is? Advantage of one or the other?

Thanks for the help.

A shortcut can be a quick way to access a function of the device, such as the application manger, whereas the app option just adds to app to the screen.
