app stops loading when I touch screen

I assume this is a trait with all android devices, if an app is loading and I touch the screen accidentally it just stops loading and then I gotta back out of it and open the app again. Happens on my nexus 7, nexus 4 and galaxy s3. Is there a setting or something I can change to make this not happen? (Currently using nexus 4 5.0.1, stock everything.)

I just tried on my s4 running 4.3 with nova launcher and could not reproduce that, even when I tried (which was hard because most apps launch in less than a second).

Which app are you launching.

I'm with these guys ^

It sounds like an application issue. What's the app causing the problems?

well for example, say you are uneming a file and its loading 0-100%...if i touch the screen it just cancels completely.

and with my mobile bank app while im logging in if i accidentally touch the screen anywhere it goes white so i gotta back out login and again and wait until it logs in.

I just tried with a few apps (ones I figured were big enough to take a second or two and not already loaded) and can't reproduce this. So it's not a general feature of all apps on all phones.
