Help App stops working after restart

[App stops working]

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this little issue I'm having.
My kids have android phones and I have installed a parental control on them to monitor their browser and Facebook activities and it works fine.
I have bought new phones for Christmas so went to install the parental control app on them.
The app works fine when it is first installed, but when I switch off the phone and switch it back on it no longer sends the logs to me.
The app is still installed as I can log in and check the settings,
It just seems to stop working after any restart.
Is there a setting on the phone somewhere that would be stopping it?
There is nothing on the app itself that would sort this.

It seems that the app you got doesn't have a start on boot function. Have you checked the settings?

Thank you for the reply.
I am already using the app on the old phones and it works perfectly even after a restart.
There isn't much in the settings, so nothing that I can see that has anything to do with startup.
That's why I was hoping that there might be something on the phone itself that I might have missed.

Are the old and new phones running different versions of Android?
If so there may be compatibility issues the developer needs to address. You can try contacting them through links in the app itself or in the Play store or their website.

Is the app stored on an SD card (depending on your phone it could be)?? If so, move it back to phone storage.

I have found out a little something that might help a bit.
If I power down the phone with the power button and switch back on,
The app doesn't update the logs.
But if I completely remove the battery then power back on, everything works fine.
Not sure what difference it makes but might there be a solution to this?
