App Storage Question

I have a Prestigio PMP5097 (Prestigio 9.7 Pro Tablet), and my Brother recently bought the smaller 3770B model.
I have 8GB internal memory, whereas he has 4GB. We both have Android 4.0.3,
and both the Tablets are new.

My problem is this, He has 500MB worth of App Storage available, whereas I have only 114MB!?
How do I increase my Available storage? I have less than 10 Apps currently.

Maybe its due to the models. The manufacturers may have changed the drive partitioning in more recent models (keep in mind I have no knowledge of the brand you are talking about, first time I've heard of them so I'm guessing here).

An example would be the original Galaxy Tab 7 and the newer 7 Plus. The original Tab 7 only had 2GB worth of app storage, but my 7 Plus can access the entire 16GB storage.

It could be that he is using an SD card as well. Therefore storing contents on the SD card instead of internal memory. Another thing is the size of the apps both you and him have on your tablet. Most game highend 3d apps, for example, takes up alot of space.
