App to replace phone contacts?

Hey guys.

After an app that so far I do not think exists.

I am after one to replace the default contacts app on the desire.

Is there such a thing?

I'm guessing you want to change the 'phone' contacts into 'google' contacts so they will sync.

If so, export the contacts to the SD card. Then delete all contacts on the phone. Then re-import them as google contacts.

What are you looking for the app to do? Anyway, search the market (or appbrain) for Better Contacts. It's not really a replacement, because it won't act as the default contacts app, but it offers some nice features.

You might also want to check out Dialer One or aTakePhone, which are dialer replacements, but let you search your contacts database.
