App to shutdown or bring up shutdown menu?

Hi all... using a Razr Maxx

I'm looking for an app that would bring up the "shutdown" menu or show me a new shutdown menu on a NON-rooted phone.

My problem is that my power button no longer works so I can't press the button to bring up the options anymore... strangely I still must hold my volume down and power button to do a fake battery pull which is currently the only way I can get my phone to reset.

On that subject... if anyone has any reasons why my power button doesn't work for software any more, but still registers for the hardware battery pull I'd like to know.... .... like.. are there two hardware paths for the power button to register being pressed??

Oh... and if there's an app to show me how the phone is reading the buttons I guess I'd like to know if the system thinks that my power button is always being pressed or can't see it being pressed any longer.

thanks for any tips or help. :)

edit... an app that would allow me to change my power button to something else would be ideal too... like a "press volume up then down" would turn on the screen?? I'm already using an app that lets me use the proximity sensor, but keeps turning my phone on randomly so it drains my battery a bit faster. :(

Power Toggles - customizable widgets, which include a power button that gives the option to shut down, reboot, reboot into recovery, and at least a couple more functions which I can't recall at the moment.

thanks for the replies... I'll check out the options.

As for opening up the phone... I'm capable, but don't want to really break the seals since I know the Razr is glued together to help with water resistance.

The other issue is I'm not 100% certain it's the power button... I mean I do still have to hold it to hard reset the phone, so if it works for that... why not for software??

I've certainly thought about it though. If I could solve the issue of ensure it's just as water resistant after putting it back together I would. :)

Power Toggles is awesome and exactly what I was looking for. The down side is that it does require root for me to use the power down options, but with everything else it does you can't go wrong. Highly recommended, thanks for the suggestion Petegunns.

Now to get my 4.1.2 Razr Maxx rooted, lol.
