App to successfully download from rapidshare?

Anytime I try to download from rapidshare it seems to be downloading the link as a text in 1-2k files instead of downloading the actual file. I did a search of the forums and found no answer to the problem. Does anyone know of an app or setting that will allow this to work? I have tried bytetornado and download all and neither works. They do the exact same thing. A friend can download these on an ipad and iphone from rapidshare so its kind of sad I cant do the same on a more "open" platform.

Any advice?
 
I do not know. You could use terminal emulator and the wget command (I think it is included in android--I know it is if rooted). That is really extreme, so good luck with a real solution.

PS: I have this problem too, but not all the time. I have no idea what causes it.
 
It is illegal for them to host the .apk files it is called piracy. They change the extension to .txt so the files do not get removed. Get your apps legally.

op did not say it was apps, or anything illegal...btw since i went to 2.2 with a rooted Galaxy, i have had no problems with rapidshare, or megaupload...works everytime...I couldnt wait till fall to get 2.2, so im not sure if it is because im rooted or it's 2.2 ooops he did say app, oh well..doesn't bother me at all, I never pay for apps either, not on Android anyway, probably never will...
