App using battery on Nexus 5

I recently installed an app to lock my whatsapp and hangouts. But in the battery details it is showing that it is using up to 18-25% of battery. Im attaching a pic. Is'nt this too much? Is this effecting my battery time?

That depends on you. Your phone is using 39% battery in almost 9 hours. If that's enough for you, and you can recharge after 9 hours, you're doing fine. If you need much more than 9 hours between charges you'll have to cut your usage somewhere - wjjether that's the app to uninstall is up to you, but it'll stop 18% of the 61% of battery used in 9 hours. That's almost 11% of battery drain.

Welcome to the forums!

If you click on the name of the app in the battery screen you can see exactly why it's using so much battery (is it waking the phone up a lot or keeping it awake a lot?). 60% battery drain in 6 hours does seem a little high to me. What was your battery life like before installing the update?

Also, I'm curious as to exactly why you feel the need to use the app. Of course, it makes sense to use whatever apps you want, but it might be more efficient to just have a lock on your phone as a whole.
