App will not load

Hi,
I am new to android phones. I downloaded a few paid apps from the play store and one crashed right after it opened and now is just a black screen when I open it. If I uninstall it, will the play store charge me again to download it? How do I get my .99 cents back? I would actually rather have the app, I really wanted it. What do I do?

PS So glad I did not go with an IPhone. I love my new HTC EVO 4G on Virgin Mobile. I know, it's Sprint's old EVO 3D but I love it!
 
If you uninstall it, you will NEVER have to pay for it again. In fact, you will be able to download the app on any of your Android devices. Great choice on the phone. I am currently sporting one as well. Check out the HTC Evo V 4G part of these forums to receive better assistance for your device.
