Help App2SD not working

I've been trying to move some apps to my SD card, as my internal memory is full. I'm using the latest version of KaosFroyo and the CFS kernel.
I've tried partitioning my SD card, as I've been told you need to do this to move apps to the SD card. But every time I try to partition my SD card when I put it in the phone, the phone can't read it and it needs to be reformatted. If I reformat like the phone seems to want me to, it's suddenly no longer partition, and I still can't move apps to it.

I'm using the 8gb sd card that came with the phone.

I can't completely fix your problem, but for any Froyo ROM you cannot have a partitioned SD Card. Partitioning the SD card is only for 2.1 ROMs. If you have a partitioned SD Card and are using a froyo ROM, the phone will not read it (as you found out).

Also, make sure that the apps you are trying to move support apps2sd. The next thing I would try would be to do all your wipes and reflash the ROM or flash something else and try again.

In Kaos, there should also be a setting in settings->CyanogenMod Settings->Application settings->Allow application moving. You may need to check that if you see it on the settings.

Definitely, though, meticat was right - Froyo builds do not support partitioned SD cards, and don't use that method for apps2sd. Froyo now supports it, but, as meticat says, only for apps that support running from SD. Since I don't actually move any of my apps, I really don't know how you'd tell. However, I know this - any app that has a homescreen widget should not be moved to SD.

Best of luck.

OK, so I don't need a partition. Good to know.

I've got the option to move apps selected, but I still can't move them. I believe these are are able to be moved. I downloaded and app called app2sd which list all the apps that possible to move, and some of the apps I remember moving with previous froyo roms.

Still I can't move them. What gives!?!
