Apple getting ahead in schools

[caramac79]

After visiting the BETT conference on Wed 11/01/12 and finding it an Apple paradise with every stall holder promoting education through iPads and commenting on how they have had funding from Apple to develop resources and use iPads in classrooms.

What are Google doing with Android?

If every kid goes to school and are using iPads in classroom every day in primary and secondary school how will Android compete if they don't invest in education.

They are already behind iPads this will continue if they don't fix up.

Because when they grow up, they will be so whacked out on instant gratification that they won't get good jobs, so they'll won't be able to afford iPads

Unfortunately, with Google's model, there's nothing they can really do to promote this sort of thing. Google authors the OS, they do not manufacture the devices. Or they would have to make a Nexus tablet.
