Apple Vs HTC ==> will it affect 2.1 and/or any new HTC device release?

Will Apple Vs HTC patent issues impact the release of any new HTC phones and 2.1 ROM release as per their March/April schedule?
OR
Does it affect only USA?

It only effects the USA but that doesn't mean it will or won't delay the release schedule globally.
 
Yeah US patents only effect US, however US is probably the biggest market and the one companies want. It would be an expensive and probably stupid business plan to design/build one phone for USA and have the same phone made differently for the rest of the world. its just a matter of what HTC can prove and what sticks with the authorities. I can see delays on the 2.1 releases for sure though.
 
Apple could force HTC to ‘remotely cripple’ smartphones, therefore any aspects of a HTC smartphone which infringes an Apple patent could be removed taken away from existing handsets via an update.

Well, they actually already do that thanks to the different network systems in the US, and the Hero had multitouch capabilities in Europe but not the US. I don't see a problem with them building phones with modifications for each market.

I know a company that built one phone for everyone... It has sold millions. And is now suing another company, because a hypocritical fruitcake, decided he didn't like being pressured to step his game up.
 
Apple would have to file a tempory injunction to stop the release of anything till the investagation is done. Really up to the US patent office what they want to do.
