Application help

I'm getting a Note 2 this weekend and a 64GB micro SD, and because Note 2's only come in 16GB I was wondering where apps save their data? Because on the play store I see apps like GTA 3, and their only a few mb's, compared to on the ios store where they're 300mb+. So where do the apps save all the additional data?

I think on the phones internal memory if I'm not mistaken...

Thanks, do you know if there's anyway to make it save the data to the SD card?

I think if you go to Applications and select move to SD card this moves the data and the cache to the SD card, but not the entire app.
