Application that mirrors iTunes for stereo systems

Hi! I have a Galaxy s3 and am looking for a very specific app.

Both my car (2012 Civic) and in-house audio system are basically made for the iPhone. When I connect to either of them via aux cable, it should show on the screens what song is playing. I should also have the capability to raise and lower sound and skip songs.

But again, these systems are made for iPhones. Is there an app on the market that might mirror this function? My phone is all the way in the kitchen and I might be upstairs cleaning, but would really like to switch songs. Lol. I could be less lazy, but screw that. Lol.

Any help or advice is appreciated! And please don't tell me to buy an ipod. No thanks.

Is that AirPlay, which is an Apple thing. Something like this should work, root required .

There's other apps as well that enable Android to work with AirPlay devices. Search 'airplay' in the Play store. Can't recommend any particular one, because I don't have any AirPlay devices myself.
