Can someone please that knows a bit about how this syncing thing works on the Samsung Galaxy Ace II please help.
I know about what to have ticked to make this work, but the issue I have is that I have 4 accounts showing under this setting.
01. WhatsApp
02. My Google Mail Account
03. My Yahoo Email Account
04. My Twitter Account.
Now what I would like to know is should all these automatically sync when the phone is on sleep as well as while on?, and if so is the interval for each sync determined by the settings for each individual account? because the issue is that not all accounts have a setting on whether you want a sync to take place or not.
My WhatsApp account for instance doesn't appear to auto sync unless I manually sync it, even when someone sends me a message on it it doesn't show the time when that message came through on the sync section.
The Twitter account seems to be ok for auto sync without the need to actually open the App.
The Google stuff, for example Google+, Sync Contacts, Sync Gmail well it seems that some but not all the stuff that reside in this sync automatically.
The only time when I have the same date and time against all my accounts in the Data & Synchronisation is when I click on Sync All.
Also do these syncs only take place when an email has been sent, or are they supposed to take place every so often throughout the day, and if so where is the setting to change the duration period for the auto sync?
It seems to me that if I open my yahoo account then go check the auto sync settings I then see it has synced, It also syncs when an email comes through, so I am trying to understand if I am understanding the concept of how this auto sync is supposed to work.
Last question and an important one, is this sync setting meant to check at various intervals even though no email activation has taken place?
Oh and by the way I do have the options both ticked for background data and also for Auto-Sync. And I have the Wi-Fi set to NEVER for sleep.
