Applications that launch themselves

I've noticed that no apps are running according to Task Killer.

I do NOTHING on my phone and look at Task Killer again and
see that several applications are NOW running in the background.

Is there anyway of learning what is triggering them to launch ?

Thanks in advance!
Michael

A lot of processes need to launch. News widgets need to update, gmail needs to push, SMS needs to fetch texts, etc.

If you're really bothered, though, look up Startup Auditor on the market.

Yes, i realize there is alot of activity . I'm talking about applications that I have installed such as a Notepad type which I have not specifically clicked on. I have seen several applications launch and do not understand why they are launching

Thanks.
