Apps Automatically Going On Home Screens

Whenever I download an app on my Samsung Galaxy S3, it always puts a shortcut for it on one of my home screens.
Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

You just need to go to the play store app, go menu >> settings and disable the option to auto add widgets for new apps.
