Apps bought on B&N Nook Tablet

Hi all! I am considering buying a Nook Tablet. However, I was wondering... if I bought apps (for example, Angry Birds) on the Nook Tablet, would I have to RE-buy them to work on my HTC Desire? How do I get an app on both the devices if I only have to buy it once? Thanks!

As long as you are buying it from the Android Market you can install it on any device you own. Anything you buy on the market is tied to your gmail account, not a specific device.

I have owned 5 android phones in the last 2 years and the apps I bought on my first one I have been able to use on all the rest without re-buying them.

Chrswltrs is right.

If it is a stock Nook Tablet, and you don't have access to the Android Market, the apps you buy in the B&N app area, they won't be able to be used on other "true" Android devices.

Well see, herein lies the problem... the Barnes and Noble Nook Tablet is not under the list of supported devices on the Android Market. I think any apps I buy for the Nook Tablet has to be from the Barnes and Noble website. I was wondering if those apps purchased from the Barnes and Noble website would somehow work on my HTC Desire or any other android phone so I don't have to buy them again (and separately) from the Android Marketplace.

I don't think I will be rooting the tablet. Therefore, yes, it would be a stock Nook Tablet. So you're saying that the stock Nook Tablet does not have access to the Android Market? Even through its web browser? Or is it if I try to download an app from the market, it just won't work on/be compatible with the Nook? Thanks!

I am not familiar with the nook. The only way it would work is if your are downloading from market.android.com that is the official web site for the android market from google that would link the purchase to your gmail account allowing it to be downloaded again on other android devices.

Chrls, I *don't* think that would work... but am not sure... I think OP would still need the Amazon Market on the Nook. That's the problem. There wouldn't be a way to get the Market without rooting.
