Help Apps closing for no reason

Hi.
I have a new Galaxy S 4G.
It was working great until I downloaded the Yahoo mail and Hotmail apps this morning. Now when I try to use any apps, including dialing a phone call the app closes and I am returned to the home screen.
I don't have a lot loaded on the phone.
Can you advise what the issue may be?

Hello and welcome, Audra. It seems you may have a sync loop going with one or both of those email apps, and possibly with other apps or widgets involved.

Go into the application manager and clear cache and data on at least the two new ones and perhaps on all syncing apps including Gmail, Facebook, weather etc.

The reboot your phone and go into settings on those apps/widgets and configure them to sync on demand, manually rather than auto sync.

I'd even go so far as to uninstall the two new ones then reinstall them one at a time, being sure to configure each one for manual sync before installing the next one.
