My friend just had a baby and he is using an application on his iPhone called photo stream to share photos of baby with his friends who have iPhone. is there an app for Android that is compatible with the iPhone app. Thanks.

The easiest route would probably be to get your friend to share the Photo Stream link with you. Instructions are available here.
