Apps connected to charger

This is current, like right now. It shows 2 iPhones. Click on the one that shows active and it only shows me the IP address. No option to log out. The one that doesn’t say active when clicked gives options to log out.

I went to settings and battery usage and some apps say they are connected to charger but my phone is not charging. Am I understanding this wrong?

She could not add an app as a system app unless she rooted the phone. So you could install a root checker app and see whether that's been done (I can think of other things I'd check, such as whether it has the stock recovery or whether the bootloader has been unlocked, but that's the simplest. She'd have needed time and a computer to do this, by the way).

I should add that I'm not familiar with the V40 so have no idea whether that is a standard app or not (may also depend on the carrier if you bought it through them). The defensiveness might be because she knows that she's been digging around in the phone, fiddling with it and screwed up (e.g. deleting your contacts - it might not be specifically related to that app.

One legit way that an app can be added to the system is via a system update.

Hadron,

Can you explain if you know? I went to settings and battery usage and some apps say they are connected to charger but my phone is not charging. Am I understanding this wrong?

I'm afraid I don't know much about iPhones: it's several years since anyone in my family has had one, and I've never seen that particular screen.

These screenshots all look normal. If you have Google's web and app activity logging on (which they will make the default) it records every app that you use, directly or indirectly. These are all standard things which I'd expect to run regularly on any phone.

(I have all of the app and Web activity logging turned off, because you need to disable all of that to stop Google indirectly tracking your location. But that's me, I'm happy to lose some Google features and services as the trade off for keeping more of my privacy. The day you can't use an android phone without using Google Assistant will be the day I leave the platform).

Does FB not give you the option of denying access to the other one?

I just had a look at mine and the only device it didn't give me the option of logging out was the one I was using to view it.

As for location, that may depend on your settings. I imagine that if you let FB access your location it will use that. I don't, so it will infer it from my IP address, which then tells it about how my Internet connection is routed rather than where I am. Sometimes it shows 20 miles from my location, sometimes 10, sometimes 70. If I use a VPN it can be wildly out. So not doubting that you've an issue, just saying that if you don't give FB location access then where it shows you connecting from may depend on whether you use WiFi or cellular and VPNs can confuse it further (which also means it may not be a reliable guide to where someone else is accessing from - if I were doing that I'd probably use a VPN precisely for this reason).

I'm confused. The screenshots you posted look like they were taken on an iPhone. Android usually puts the time on the right with other system notifications. So the active iPhone connection at the time you took them would be right. As for locations, all I can say is that some of the locations coincide with the locations for the ip addresses you've used to post to this forum (yes, that gets logged) and they all -- at least the several that I've checked -- are all Verizon's network. I have to assume that VZW is either doing some funky routing with their connections or you are using a VPN. Are there some other reasons why you think you've been hacked?

I guess the occasional fruit company phone question is answered here but THIS IS ANDROID FORUMS!

You'd be better off asking your question in a dedicated iPhone forum @Shelly West Most of us are just guessing.

Is there such a thing as a dedicated iPhone forum?
