Apps dissappearing?

Strange. Today I found that Google Sky Map and Angry Birds and others it seems were missing from my phone. The icons are still there, but when I tap the icon I only get "Could not launch the requested activity".
When I looked into the app drawer they were completely gone.

Is this something I should worry about?

Yes i think you should worry about that

Try restoring it to factory [full restore ,even micro sd card]
!create a back-up on a pc to what is important from the card!

Did you check it in manage applications setting? If you're using LP, I know you can delete the icons from there though you wouldn't get the 'could not launch requested activity'

I don't know what happened to T-mobile's visual voice mail.. but I don't have it anymore lol. Lost it on the last reset I did.

Are you storing apps on sd card?
Are you rooted? if so what rom are you using?
If you were able to open apps then the issue could just be a poor implementation of apps to sd on the rom your using.
Due to not being able to open apps at all it sounds like a corrupted OS.
Sounds like you need to do a full wipe and reload OS.
The more info you can give as far as how your phone is setup can really help in providing a proper answer to your problem.

Are these apps on the SD card? Are you plugged into your computer while trying to access them. I know that any app stored on my SD card won't show up in the App drawer if I am plugged into the computer with storage turned on.

Has happened to me before. Multiple Reboots fixed it for me (in some cases had to uninstall/install app again). Probably due to me using a shady app2sd method, I use Titanium Backup to force all apps to SD card (except widgets, launcher, etc). well thats what I think caused it for me (just like what SBERG said).

Happened to me too. I also think it was my app2sd app. I just went to Market and reinstalled the missing apps and haven't had any more problems since.
