apps download through google play not working

Hi

I am on ICS ( Android 4)

I can not download or update apps through Google Play app ....it shows download progress ....but it never downloads.


What is the issue

Is there any work around ?

( Please don't tell me a factory reset option ...I don't want that)


Also , Is it possible to delete my gmail account and create the same account again in ICS without a factory reset ? how ? ( just want to give this a try if this solves the issue)

What device do you have? how much free space is left on the device? do you get a notification telling you why it didn't finish, or does it just keep saying downloading?

mobile device.....its not a famous make....so make won't help to fix the issue.

enough....16 GB. ....I have already verified this part....space is not the reason.

Now tell me do you know how to remove gmail a/c from ICS ?

a quick search in the forum tells me ...... may be removal of gmail a/c and creating it back may solve the issue .....I'd like to give this a try .....any input to this ?
