Apps force closing on Titanium Restore

Hey guys
Having a few problems when i restore app data after a ROM flash with Titanium. I've searched around, but can't find anything that works for me

Basically, i'm trying to flash PACMan v21 to my GS2, from rooted (dorimanx kernel) stock 4.2.1 touchwiz rom. I've created a Nandroid backup, and a Titanium backup of all my data/ apps (the two titanium backups are separate, i.e 'apps' and 'system', not 'apps and system'. does that matter?) Coz of these, i can keep flashing back and forth till it works (hopefully.)

I flash the ROM in CWM, and that works great. Open it up, and it all works sweet. (itching to play with all the settings!!) However, when I try to use titanium backup (pro) to restore all apps and data, so many apps force close!! its a constant stream for a good minute of force close reports. The most annoying of these is Contacts/dialer.

I've tried re-flashing the ROM, re-doing all my titanium backups, clearing individual app data (this worked for some but not all of them). I can use the ROM, so long as I dont restore any apps/ settings.
Any suggestions?

It will be due to an incompatibility between the stock based ROM and PACMan. Contacts and dialer are system apps which aren't cross compatible between Samsung based and aosp. You won't be able to restore any system apps or data, only downloaded apps and data.
