My Sony Xperia X10 is the first Android device I've owned - and indeed the first smart phone I've owned. Before that I had a ordinary little mobile phone (cell phone), and my pocket computing was first with Palm (IIIc and then Tungsten T3 - a lovely device for its day; I loved it), and more recently an iPod Touch.

There are a few things I miss coming to Android:
- Lack of robust built-in MS Exchange support. I have to use Touchdown by Nitrodesk for this, and while it works fantastically well, I'm going to have to fork out $20 (which is a lot of an app) for it. Surely this should be built in to the platform?
- A really good astronomy/planetarium/sky map app. Google skymap is OK, but only just, and in no way compares to some of the magnificent apps available for other platforms.
- A mathematical system which allows programming. In fact here Palm pips all other platforms, with Calerga's LyME ("Lightweight Math Engine") being a sort of cut down Matlab, and amazingly powerful. For those who are maths folks, nothing of the sort exists for iOS or Android.
