Apps installed but don't show up on tablet

I have installed several apps that do not appear on my home or app screen. When I attempt a re-install, I get a message that the app is already installed. Any thoughts?
 
Perhaps the apps are not showing up on the screen but are available in an app drawer.

To me, it is like having a program on my pc and not having a shortcut to it on the desktop. You just need to find them.
