Apps like Truecaller needful?

That doesn't add to the equation..you don't say how did you do a prefix for a number that that just has 6 digits..

I noticed you have a question marck(?) at the end of the prefix..but that isn't accurate since when you enter the number..just numeric digits are allowed..so that's isn't realistic info.

I don't know what program you're using but this is for "Call Blocker" which accepts "*" and "?" as characters, just like computers since day one...

This is an open source app that I use.

Blacklist Blocker (Block unwanted calls and/or SMS) - https://f-droid.org/app/com.kaliturin.blacklist

The spam calls in the US are illegal, but the vast majority originate from overseas, where the FCC has no jurisdiction.

So I have this app set to only allow calls and texts from numbers that are in my contacts.

There are other settings available.

If I must give out a number to a business or other where this callback would be blocked, I have a Wi-Fi calling/texting app that gives me another number.
I leave the notifications off for this, and check it whenever.
