Apps not working

Hi

I have a Samsung Galaxy note on Android 4.0.4.My problem is I can download Apps but cannot open them.Two examples is Crime city and Shipwrecked.I had them on my previous Samsung Tab which ran on Android 3.2 and it worked perfectly.

Can someone PLEASE help.
 
Does it give the notification that it is installed correctly?

Can you see the icon of the app?

What happens if you want to start the app?


Hopefully we can figure out what is causing this problem.

It keeps telling me it cant connect but everything else on my tab is working fine.
I got adviceto change the proxy under APN and I know it works for Android 4.0.4 as Ive seen on the Tab 2.The problem is that it wont allow me to edit the settings on the Note,even the people from Samsung was amazed by it.

I can see the icon and it is installed correctly.
