Help Apps Removal ?

On my phone & tablet, I get many messages saying LOW MEMORY STORAGE.
Is it possible to remove unwanted pre-installed apps/bloatware in order to free up memory, and if so, how do I do it ?

I may be wrong, but removing /system apps or carrier installed apps won't help with the Low Memory issue as user data and apps don't get stored in the /system partition. So removing "bloat" may not help. Yes? No?

Edit: but yes, as Pugs stated, to remove bloat, you need root. That being said, be sure to have a backup of whatever bloat you decide to remove. Some /system files rely on other apps to run.

Thanks for the replies - seems too complicated for me - will google it for more info.

Yeah Mike is right. The pre installed apps are in the /system partition so you won't be freeing up any user space for your own downloaded apps.
You could move some of your apps to /system though I suppose?

A long-shot, but you could also try clearing the app dump logs from memory.
Using the STOCK dialer app, dial *#9900# and select "delete dumpstate/logcat" from the menu that appears.
