Apps reopening in the background

Don't know if this is the correct place for this to be in, but..

Some of the preinstalled apps from my carrier (and others I downloaded) automatically reopen after I close them using Smart Manager and they actually slow down the phone quite a lot, so I'm here to ask, what is the best way to stop apps from automatically reopening in the background?

Thanks.

Hi there,
Go to settings>storage>apps/application manager> apps> all,
Select the App/ Apps and tap on,
If it is a default ( pre installed) app
Tap on uninstall update and then tap on disable,
In New version tap on disable button
Updates will be uninstalled automatically
Then tap on disable button.
You can not use this Apps unless enable.
If it is a non system app
Tap on Force stop button
This App remain Force stopped untill you tap on this again.

Isn't Smart Manager a version of Cheetah Mobile Clean Master('free' Chinese snake-oil spyware)? And it might actually be that that's slowing your phone down..

FYI...Task killers, RAM optimizers, battery doctors, etc. are bad....here's why.

Some of its features are supported by it,butI can't uninstall it, it's integrated into the Samsung software.

The problem is that I actually want to use these apps on a daily basis; for example: one of the many apps that keep reopening is Facebook, which is a system app and I use it quite often, but even when I don't, it keeps reopening.

The Facebook app is a known resource hog. You may be better off using a browser to access FB although if it's a system app it may still run in the background with no disable option, unless the phone is rooted. In that case clearing the app data will remove your account information so the app can't access it. That should cut down its data usage.
The Greenify solution may work as well.
