Apps same as those on phone

I have got my dad a new tab 2, and when I set it up for him, it automatically loaded the same apps that are on his Samsung phone (Galaxy Ace 2)!

I have had several android devices, none Samsung though, and google play distinguishes between them automatically and this hasn't happened to me.

What settings do I need to tweak, and do I need to doa hard reset?
Setup and use a different Samsung a/c?

That's just how Google links stuff together, If you don't want those apps on the tablet, just delete/Uninstall them. If you can't then just turn them off. This can be done via settings.
Or maybe those particular apps are standard for Samsung devices.
