Is there a way to stop certain apps from automatically starting up when the phone boots? I realize that depending on what my sync options are some apps will have to load (such as Gmail, Facebook), and that some processes simply HAVE to run in the background in order for the phone to function how I want it to (Clock, Better Keyboard, Battery Widget). However I'm pretty sure I don't need apps like Amazon MP3, Footprints, Gallery, Gesture Search, Music, Nascar, News, Qik, Sprint Football Live, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Zone, SprintTV, or Swype running in the background (just to name of few). What's interesting is that many of these I have yet to even open or use at all.
Also, when using System Panel Lite I see that under Active Applications most of these active apps are labeled as "Background", some as "Service" and a few as "Foreground". Should I even be concerned as most of the aforementioned automatically-starting-up apps are labeled as "Background".
My big concern is that my Memory upon booting is around 60% used and my CPU Activity jumps from 5% to 30% to 70% and back down (at least when I monitor it using System Panel).
