Apps work from 4.1 to 4.2?

Hello,

I'm pretty new to installing custom ROMs on phones, but as it seems Verizon simply refuses to push out the 4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy 3, I'm looking at installing either ChaOs or the Cyanogen Mod.

My question is, since my device currently uses 4.1, if I install a new ROM based on 4.2 or 4.2.2, will the apps, when I restore them from a backup, still work? Because when an official update comes out, it usually says "Configuring Apps" or something like that.

Also, does anyone know if the current version of ChaOs is using 4.2 for the GS3 Verizon version?

I've never had any issue restoring apps after a ROM flash, even going up an Android version, so I'm guessing you'll be fine.

Want me to move this to the SGS3 forum though, so the folks there can confirm?
