Help APPS2SD does anyone run it, having trouble with mine?

if so could you please explain to me how, I partitioned my 16gb card and made a 750mb ext2 partition. I went into recovery and ran the zip file app2sdv1.1, after rebooting the phone most of the icons were generic icons and when I pressed on them I got the "application not installed" message, in addition none of my widgets would load, I am running 2.1 DE03 with joeys 3.0.8 recovery rooted. luckily I created a system and data backup. thanks
