I'd still like to know what network the "phone" version will work on in the U.S.
......That said, smart money would be on a "unlocked gsm" version being sold, which could technically be set up with any GSM provider.
See this is what I'm thinking. But I have a feeling I'll end up with a wifi only version & use hotspot when necessary.
The thought of the phone features is what intrigues me the most.
The #1 reason the phone features intrigue me so much is because I have been considering porting my home line over.
You can send your home phone number up to Google Voice. That way you can access it on any of your devices, including ones without a phone radio. All it needs is an internet connection (wi-fi).
I used it for my main cell and couldn't receive MMS, but that shouldn't be an issue for you.
Pretty sure you can port a landline up, but I can't access the FAQ to double check.
I HATE that pricing. It's a terrible move. Isn't the note 10.1 priced the same? Or close? N7 here I come.
Can a landline be ported at this time?
No, we currently are unable to port landline numbers.
