Rooting the phone won't increase your internal memory space, it just grants root access to the phone, its not magic.
Rooting is only the first step, app2sd cannot do anything if the app cannot be moved, there are some methods that break the app and move some part of the app, but that's not much helpful, most of the apps are required to be installed on the internal memory so as to function properly, they cannot be moved without disrupting their functions, all you can do is get more space in the internal memory. For that you need to create more space first, create an ext partition on the sd card, you can use that as internal memory. You will also need to flash a script to make the phone recognize that partition as the internal memory, only then you can install more apps.
In short, you need to read more. You don't actually need courage to root the phone, what you will be doing after rooting needs courage because now you have administrator access to the phone and a single wrong move can cause damage. Rooting is just getting permission to enter the system, its harmless, and its reversible.
