Hi all friends,

Today my htc one x goes to black screen. It neither goes into hboot menu nor getting power on. When I connect it to PC , It shows "APX"
with yellow question mark.

Its new problem to me and never happened .

I am worry and nothing know what to do.?

How to exit or finish this mode? Should I have to flash some rom on it?

I hope one of you will help and guide me to overcome this problem.

Thanks and regards,

APX = NVFlash, it's a low level mode for installing the phones software. How did you get into it?

Can you power the phone off by keeping the power button held? Let the battery run down and power it back on?

A shopkeeper sale this phone to his customer. Customer told he connect phone with his wifi network. After connecting an applications start download automatically. After complete downloading it goes dead. When I connect phone with system. APX appear in device manager. It does not respond when we press power button

Customer is lying of that I have no doubt

Anyway, this isn't good. Basically NVFlash for the One X hasn't been figured out yet, all that can be done is have the phone repaired by HTC.

No matter what state the phone is in, it should turn off/restart if you hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds. How long are you holding it for?

I assume my HTC One X was in this APX mode since it exhibited these symptoms (I didn't actually hook it up to PC though).

But get this, I was simply playing Angry Birds, took a phone call leaving the game running in the background, ended the call but didn't go back and shut everything down. Got home and thought my awesome phone was bricked.

I had to hold the power button for more like 20-25 seconds AND disconnect it from the charger and it sprang back to life.
Thanks again!
