Help Archos Tablet not Recognizing mp3 files

I just got a 43 16G and loaded about 3000 songs into its internal memory. However, when I go to the music library, it only displays 3 of the albums. Went to settings > storage > update media library - no dice. Tried reseting the device (hold the power button down for 10 secs) - no dice again. I can find all the .mp3 files via the file view just fine and the files play fine but they don't show up in the music library.

I'm using the player app that came loaded on the device. My file directory structure is the normal:

> Music
> artist
> album
> song title.mp3

Any ideas?

I figured out the solution so I thought I would post it just in case it helps someone else.

The settings >> storage >> update media library appears to be a placebo. But if you go to settings >> repair & formatting >> reset multimedia library it actually rebuilds the library and all your albums/songs should then appeared.
