I see no connection between the rise of foodies and the dying off of the music industry. There are still plenty of great, hard working musicians out there scratching to earn a buck, illegal downloading has done more to harm the industry than anything else, as was said earlier, the record companies were too slow trying to work out how to use the interwebs to their advantage.
