are Honeycomb apps proprietary?

In other words, it's not backward compatible to other Android OS's apps?
If so, this is a terrible design by Android when it's trying to compete with Apple. I got lucked out last night at 5pm when I checked Walmart site and found the Trans in stock and bought one. Paid $458 for one shipped next day to my door(yeah, i could have saved $58 if i waited another month or so and buy from Amazon, but can't wait!). should be getting it tomorrow. I'm hoping Google can fix that compatibility issues. I really want the Android to be compatible throught out their OS's. If not, I'm gonna hear about it from iPhone/iPad users!!

I love Android and have owned the very first Android device, G1. I have never been a fan of Apple except for their computers, but they are still over priced... So hopefully Google can see this as a potential problem.

Most android 2.x apps work in android 3.0 but not all. Some just crashed. But most of them has updates so they can work in android 3.0 without problem.

It goes the same for pretty much all OS's. Say like, when Windows 7 comes out, some old Windows XP app won't run properly.

all the android apps in the market work.
even the pre- honeycomb apps. its just the dont scale right (look the same as they do on the phone) on the tablet. some are even coded differently and work load on the tablet, but its few an far between. your ipad having friend have an angry bird machine (thats the only thing the ipad is good at). wait until mainstream gets 100% behind honeycomb and gives us netflix and tablet specific apps (its really happening now). any device you need to plug to your pc for daily use is not convenient. and all apple device need itunes to function. why even care what they think?

I can tell you now not ALL apps work. =)

Dolphin HD crashed everytime when switch away and back to the app. There is another thread in the forum here someone contacted the developer to get a fixed version. It can't be found in Market but works well with Xoom without any FC at all. I have that apk file =)

I don't really care what they think. I just hated when apples users are such snobs and think that they have the best gadgets ever when in fact it's inferior to Android. although, we might be snobs as well with Android.. , but at least we have a superior products to Apple. I admit, Apple products are nicely designed aesthetically, but definitely not functionally. Everyone I know who have used both products admit that they like Android better, it's those who have only used iphones/ipads that think they got the best sh*t ever!

dont get me wrong...i certainly understand where you`re coming from.
but in time, you`ll load up cool things they simple couldnt ever do.
