Are storage thumbnails retrievable?

Hi Folks. New to this. I used a phone-sweeping app which displays my "/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/.thumbnails" contents, apparently every picture I have ever taken with the phone, including some I had deleted. There are a few I'd like to restore and use again. Is there a way to get them out of the abovementioned storage location back into a usable picture location such as the gallery? Thanks.

Hi

You could copy the .jpg thumbnails into the dcim folder but they are just thumbnails not full size pictures. You can not restore the originals from them.

EDIT. Just noticed that that was your first post! Welcome to the forums :) Hope you find it helpful and friendly here. Don't hesitate to ask with any questions - usually someone knows the answer or knows where to look.

Hi

I seem to be having the same issue however in my case it's more like 19gb and about 230 000 pictures. Can't copy the .thumbnail folder into my phone cause the folder is so huge. Is it possible to FTP or copy the files onto a PC ?

P.S All my pics were deleted off my device and this seems to be to only way to recover my pictures. Thanks.
