For many, life is a series of questions: a series of rules; a set of cards dealt needing management.
But once the questions are truths, and the rules to this game are understood...
Life is just another game to be played.

Our society wants pegs for its imaginary pegboard. They have placed you where you are, they have molded you into the robot slaves they need to keep the status quo, to keep things the way they are. To keep the Capitalistic ship afloat.

Make your own mind.

Play your own game.

Come together to better the world.
Adapt, maintain, or move on. One

What if I make up my mind that keeping the Capitalistic ship afloat is better then watching it sink while grasping for driftwood in that vast empty ocean?

What if the game of my own that I choose to play also allows me to play along with others... not as a robot but as a willing member of society working together to maintain that society?

I have no idea what the original post is all about, but it sounds inspirational to me. No clue what I'm supposed to be inspired to do though.

Too much greed in the world to unite everyone. Some one always wants to be on top. Capitalism at its best.

Golan Trevize knows the answer .We just have to find him.

Yeah, but he found R Daneel at the end. R Daneel had the 4th law of robotics.

If you want to do what mostly everyone else does, fine - just don't condemn those of us who don't.

I am not a good consumer as I don't believe any advertising hype.
Even if I can afford brand new - I still prefer thrift stores for furniture. Everyone seems to like grilling - I like stuff nuked. I don't give a damn about clothes fashion. (I can sew, and can find patterns that I like) Since my phone works the way I want it - I don't care what the newer phones can do. I find it interesting to read about, though. I keep up just to find ways to thwart what powers that be think should be done. Rooting phone so it works my way is a thwart.

I am one of the few people on the planet, that have a plan to unite the world. An actual plan. That can work. And it's not far out, or crazy.

To unite us, it requires people being able to MEET new people. Share their common interests.

We created an Android Exclusive Social Media, to do just that, MEET people, and HELP unite the planet.

Not sure what you are talking about.

R Daneel wanted to unite the world ,thats why the decision of universe was taken by a person(Golan Trevize) who made correct decisions by instinct not by thought.
Even Bliss who was supposed to be united with Gaia was furious when her individual decision to rescue Fallom turned out to be a plan be Olivaw.

Sci Fi apart

The only problem with uniting the world is the feeling of loss of individuality .That causes rebellion .
Unity is strength looks good on paper and feel good movies.
At one single moment one human's mind can compute variety of results and each implementing his own version of truth/justice leads to conflict of interest. Cynical ,perhaps.

Well first we have to get over our nationalistic pride, and then our prejudice, and then there's greed, and lust, and our drive to be better than anyone else, should I go on? There's a lot to overcome,do you really think everybody will just up and decide to Love on another? It would be nice if we all loved one another, but I'm sure you can see are faults, even in this social media. I think that man,if left on his own, will be the ruin of man.

Well first we have to get over our nationalistic pride.....(snipo)

Nationalistic pride was once considered a good idea. Pride in America drove us forward and I for one am proud to be American and I hold in high disdain anyone...ANYONE, that does not understand just how we, the greatest country on the planet, got to where we are now.

Sorry, but that is how I feel.

Flames ignite.....3........2.......1

Ironic that in a perfect and united world, a set of rules slowly forms and you are screwed if you do not follow the rules. Or something ironical like that.

Rules are natural and rules are important. Everything depends on rules In your perfect world, there will be rules that must be followed.

Fight or perish? Has the alien invasion finally begun? Damn, I'm fresh out of tin foil and jelly beans.

I don't know where people get the idea that in order to advance we must come together as one, hold hands and sing kumbaya. Competition, in all it's forms, is what got us to the point that we're at now, and competition will continue to be the best way to advance. Sure, it get's messy at times but it allows for maximum innovation. And when I say competition I don't just mean as individuals, I also mean between governments, scientists, religions, corporations and just about anything else.

I for one have no problem with singing Kumbaya, so long as the hand I'm holding belongs to a hot hippie chick. :D

Ahh Patchouli... :p

LOL . . . see, there is the problem. We want to come together and sing, just as long as it is the right song and the right person.

Bob hates Patchouli, but to each his own, the old lady said as she kissed the cow.

There was a short insertion on PBS about the climate. One of the things noted was that evolution, extinction, etc, was accelerated during warmer climates. So if Global warming takes hold, we might either be evolved or extinct.
