This is by far the best phone I have ever used. My wife who is not a Tech person has one on order after spending the weekend playing with mine.

The X is THE fastest Android smartphone available right now. Add to that all of the features we all know and love, plus the good reputation of Motorola, there's really not anything not to like for me.

The only thing is the large size, which I can understand, but if that isn't a problem for you, this is the Android phone to have right now.

I got the Droid X coming from a iPhone 3G and I am in love. I am definitely not used to this large of a phone but that is not a problem since I have freakishly large hands. A few people have criticized me for getting such a big phone but after I showed them how great video and web browsing is with such a big screen real estate, they shut up.

For about 5 minutes, I thought of returning the Droid X for the iPhone 4 but after doing some research I slapped myself in the face for even thinking such a thing. When I watched all the comparison videos, the Droid X's processor was always faster especially when web browsing. Also, I don't care about not having a front facing camera.

Keeping mine. I played with my old Droid 1 today to check out the newest CyanogenMod ROM and I thought "How did I function with this tiny screen?"

;)

Omg, definitely keeping. I now have my replacement X, and if I had to replace it 10 more times, I would. Although I would be a bit frustrated, LOL - it would be worth it.

Amen to that. I used my old eris today to upgrade the rom i was using and i just coulnt believe how small the screen was lol.

After using the X for a while now, I can NEVER go back to a phone with a screen smaller than this. I picked up my daughter's iPod Touch and could barely read the text under the apps lol.

Sadly mine is being shipped back. :( I really did grow to love the Droid X but I have had a lot of heartache with it. I ordered my first X online at 1am on launch day and got it that Monday.

At first I was not thrilled with the Moto skin but I realized it wasn't that deep and I actually grew to love it. Alas, I had dead pixels that showed up two days later and my X kept reseting itself.

I used to work in the industry so I did all of the trouble shooting, factory resets, battery pulls and even had Verizon do a master reset to no avail. Verizon billed my account for another X ($269 this time) and ordered me another which I got this Monday.

I did all my transfers and I was sooooooooo happy! :) That is until yesterday, I couldn't hold a signal at my home where I get full signal also I kept bouncing from no data to 1x, no 3g.

I proceeded to do the whole troubleshooting routine and got squat! I called 611 and went through the menu. I was then disconnected and received a text telling me to call from another phone. Before I could call everything was fine! I was soooo happy again!

Now we jump to 1pm today. My earpiece is reverberating horribly like the speaker is blown. This is happening even with the volume turned down to a low level. I proceed to call 611 and I am transfered to the service dept. The service rep. tells me she has been informed of my problem. She then says I need to call from another line so she can troubleshoot the device.

I then tell her I won't be able to call until my girlfriend gets home at 6 because I do not have another phone. I also try to explain to her as I did to the other tech on the first return that I used to do this for a living and that troubleshooting it won't matter because it is a hardware issue.

The service tech goes on and on about how we have to do this and then she will send me another one (billed to my account) but she doesn't know when they will be in stock!

This would be three phones on my account, by the way they got my original back yesterday! Not to mention I may be waiting weeks to get it! Well I now have a Samsung Vibrant on T-Mobile, unlimited everything for $79.99 and no contract.

I have just had it with cellular providers! if this doesn't work out I am getting a trac phone!!!!!!!!!! I just wish the providers had better ways to handle this sort of thing. I also wish quality control was better across the board.

I hope all of your X's are working fine and give you no headaches, it is a great phone!
By the way the Vibrant is so so. I hope it grows on me more. Even though the screens are only .3 inches apart in size I notice it. :(

+100

Once you go Droid X it's difficult to hold anything smaller. My 3GS seems like child's play now.

I was playing with my friends eris and i was like awww...it's so teeny and cute

then i pulled out the X and was like now this is a beast ha

Keeping it, no brainer. There's nothing out there right now that's better, imo. I'll keep it for the 20 months, and I'm sure something even more epic will be right around the corner.

I was content with my storm1 for 20 months and the droid x was my prize for holding out for so long =). Hopefully history repeats itself.
