You need a player and a subscription to a compatible video service or network account.
Some series are available on youtube, so you could use the youtube app.

You're not going to find a lot of sources for free TV series, the production studios just won't allow it. Services that do have a lot of TV shows and movies like Netflix and Hulu are pay-for services that have negotiated contracts to stream licensed content.

Crackle has some interesting shows and movies, but since Crackle is a free service when you're watching stuff there will a lot of commercials.
