Root ART with the Volt

Yes people have but it's not very good with our phone according to reports. However I don't know if anyone has tried it with the v4 update.
 
I ran ART over the weekend, and found that many apps were crashing. Google+ for example was one that crash frequently. Back to Dalvik for now.
 
If you have the recovery image and Fastboot exposed you can install pa gapps, they are supposed to all be compatible with art.
