i would like to ask a question, and i know this is not a support forum HOWEVER, i can't seem to find the button to post in any other forum so ....


is it possible to surf the internet with galaxy s2 via usb connection, throw ubuntu os?

If you mean to plug in the Phone to a PC running Ubuntu (or any OS) and access the net through the PC's connection, the answer is no.
 
does your answer mean , if you are not intending to void the warranty and root the device to be able to bridge an Internet connection to the usb connection, then ill ask,

what way can the device be updated if there is no Wi-Fi nor cellular Internet connection?
