How does one assign an App to a category on the LG Esteem?

The system allows the creation of categories, but I can't figure out how to move an App into that category.

Thanks.

Yes, I understand could always make folders. Like games, apps, etc, etc. Or do you want categories in the launcher cause if your using the stock lg launcher then you could make it to show as a categories but only as applications and downloaded. Just press the menu option when you're in the app drawer.

By "stock launcher" I assume you are referring to the "Applications" icon on the main tool soft bar. Under this application one can create additional categories in addition to "Applications" and "Downloaded" tabs such as "Games." However, there does not appear to be a method to move or assign applications to those new tabs or categories.

Then YES that is what I am talking about.

Is there a way to do this?

Your responses would indicate there is no solution here.

Is there a solution elsewhere?
A replacement for the "Application" program, that can use the same icon?

Thank you.

Open the app drawer, hit the menu button.

Figured out how to move apps into different categories.

Open the Manage Apps program, click the menu, then manage categories. Create the categories you want, then return to application main.

Open the menu, then manage apps.

Now find the app you want to move. Being careful NOT to touch the "X" to delete, press and hold the icon below the "X". The app will show an outline around the app. Drag it to the desired category and release.

As simple as that.
